Tour Description
We are delighted to offer a truly unique Icelandic experience — Midnight Golf under the endless summer light.
The first tee time will begin at 20:00, allowing golfers to play well into the evening and night while enjoying the extraordinary midnight sun, when daylight lingers around the clock in Iceland during July.
The round will take place at Oddur Golf Club, one of Iceland’s most distinctive and beautiful golf courses. Surrounded by open landscapes and expansive views, the course offers a memorable setting where the golden evening light slowly blends into the bright Icelandic night.
Participants can choose between a 9-hole or an 18-hole round, depending on their preference. Whether you wish to enjoy a relaxed evening round or take full advantage of the endless daylight for a complete game, the choice is yours.
Playing golf beneath the midnight sun is a rare experience found in only a few places in the world. In July, Iceland enjoys 24 hours of daylight, creating the perfect opportunity to continue your round long after sunset would normally bring the day to a close.
Whether you are an experienced golfer or simply looking to enjoy a remarkable Icelandic summer evening, this is an experience not to be missed.

Tour Description
Whales, ocean views and the Icelandic summer evening
After a day at the conference, step outside, head down to Reykjavík's Old Harbour and experience Iceland from a completely different perspective.
Specially arranged for IGARSS participants and their accompanying guests, this evening whale watching tour offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy Icelandic nature without missing any of the conference programme.
Departing at 20:00, we sail from the heart of Reykjavík into Faxaflói Bay in search of whales, dolphins and other marine life – while enjoying the beautiful light of an Icelandic summer evening.
The waters of Faxaflói Bay are rich in marine life and provide opportunities to encounter several species in their natural environment. Common sightings can include minke whales, humpback whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises, along with a variety of seabirds.
Every tour is different – these are wild animals in their natural habitat, so sightings can never be guaranteed. Experienced guides from Elding Whale Watching will help spot the wildlife and share their knowledge of the whales, dolphins, seabirds and marine environment of Faxaflói Bay.
The experience is about more than whales. From the water, you can enjoy a completely different view of Reykjavík, the surrounding mountains and Iceland's coastline.
At this time of year, the long Icelandic summer evenings create a special atmosphere on the bay. Sit back, enjoy the scenery and the fresh North Atlantic air – with a drink included as part of the experience.

After a day at the conference, step outside, head down to Reykjavík's Old Harbour and experience Iceland from a completely different perspective.
Whether you are an experienced rider or have never been on a horse before, you are welcome to join. Riders receive guidance before setting off, and horses are carefully selected according to each participant's riding experience and ability.
After a day at the conference, leave the city behind and discover the Icelandic countryside in one of the most authentic ways possible – on horseback.
This special evening tour has been arranged exclusively for IGARSS participants and their accompanying guests and is based on the popular Lava Tour, adapted especially for the IGARSS programme.
The approximately two-hour ride takes you through beautiful Icelandic landscapes, including striking lava fields and open countryside – all while riding one of Iceland's most famous and beloved inhabitants: the Icelandic horse. Small, strong, friendly and remarkably sure-footed, the Icelandic horse has been part of life in Iceland for more than a thousand years.
The breed is particularly famous for its smooth extra gait, the tölt, which makes riding an Icelandic horse a very different experience from riding many other breeds.
Follow trails through ancient lava fields and open terrain, experiencing the unusual volcanic landscape at a relaxed pace from horseback.
Being away from the roads and travelling through the landscape on an Icelandic horse gives you a much closer connection to the nature around you than a traditional sightseeing tour.
